Pleasant and sweet
Great Ambience, great staff and superb location.
There was a lot of interior work happening on the floor I stayed. So was noisy . The staff did inform me about the situation. Hopefully next time I will have a better experience.

It was amazing and great displaying the hertiage of old India. Raima was of immense help to cater to our specific sort of requests and we had a great time also the food was just excellent

Very comfortable, excellent food, old world charm, but needs a warmer vibe.
Decor is beautiful, very nice room, comfy bed, old world colonial charm if you like that kind of thing. Beautiful breakfast room, Raj Pavilion, delicious food. Slightly limited werstern choices at breakfast but orherwise very good selection. Easy to get to from airport. Very spacious meeting places and beautifully designed courtyards and lounge areas.
The Kingfisher draught beer in the Dublin bar tasted very weak. I told them and they offered me another from another barrel but it was the same so don't know what happened there. I stuck to bottles. The Dublin itself was quite dull and uninviting, no atmosphere. The hotel itself was very lacking in any kind of 'vibe'. Most clients are older age group and you can see why. It is sort of harking back to colonial times. It has a charm but not to everyone's taste in this age. The staff around the reception area are also a bit stuffy and you feel as though you are being scrutinised. You get the feeling you have to be on your best behaviour like at school. They could have a bit more friendly vibe with young women and smiley faces, rather than older guys dressed in military style uniforms who look you up and down. TV in the room had a life of its own like in the film Poltergeist and kept turning itself on and was not easy to operate. It's a shame that the 'colonial' and historical character of the hotel, which older folk will like, is also stopping it from having a positive vibe and becoming inviting for a younger crowd. Because eventually their core clientele will die out and the building is too beautiful for that.
